Michigan Tech is a new participant in CyberCorps, a scholarship software for cybersecurity
college students funded by the National Science Foundation.
Michigan Technological University is just one of the six most current universities to be part of the
National Science Foundation (NSF) CyberCorps: Scholarship for Service (SFS) software, a nationwide software to recruit and coach the following generation of data
technological know-how pros, industrial handle program protection pros and protection
supervisors.
As a taking part college, Michigan Tech will receive a five-year, $3.3 million
NSF grant to offer up to a few a long time of total scholarship assist for 20 undergraduate
and graduate college students. In return, pursuing graduation, recipients must do the job in a

equal to the size of the scholarship, amid other prerequisites.

The SFS software at Michigan Tech will involve multiple programs and departments, which includes
the Faculty of Computing and its Section of Used Computing and Section of Laptop Science, the Faculty of Engineering’s Section of Electrical and Laptop Engineering, and the Faculty of Business’s Bachelor of Science in Administration Data Methods software.
The SFS software is also partnering with the Pavlis Honors Faculty to engage SFS students in a mix of college mentoring, peer mentoring and custom made
pathways.
Michigan Tech joins 78 present CyberCorps: Scholarship for Service universities throughout
the region. In its announcement, NSF noted that Michigan Tech has a long historical past of K-twelve outreach, which it expects
