WWE files trademark for new tag team name

WWE has filed for a new trademark that is intended to lock down the rights to the tag team name of Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.

The company filed for the terms “Los Lotharios” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on April 11th. Here is the description for entertainment services:

“Mark For: LOS LOTHARIOS trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”

The tag team is part of the SmackDown roster. They recently had a chance at gold as they were part of a triple threat match on the go-home WrestleMania edition of SmackDown where they challenged Ricochet for the Intercontinental Title, but came up short.

Most recently, they’ve taken part in the 24/7 Title segments where they chase after the champion. They’re slated to be part of the double wedding on next week’s Raw with Dana Brooke & Reggie and Tamina & Akira Tozawa.
