Google submitted a lawsuit accusing property speaker maker Sonos of infringing 5 of its patents, escalating tensions among the partners that have now led to a US Intercontinental Trade Fee probe.
In a grievance submitted on Thursday in San Francisco federal courtroom, Google accused Sonos of applying “substantial volumes” of its engineering with no authorization for many items, like controller applications and its Sonos Radio company.
The lawsuit arrived 5 months soon after Sonos sued Google for infringing 5 other patents, and 4 months soon after the ITC said it started investigating Sonos’ grievance about audio gamers and controllers from Google, a device of Alphabet.
“Sonos has created fake statements about the companies’ shared work and Google’s engineering,” Google said.
